Sarah Ens Friesen, 92, died Jan. 13, 2012, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

She was born June 9, 1919, in Tulare County, Calif., to C.C. and Anna (Quiring) Harms. She was a housewife.

She married Dan E. Ens on May 6, 1955, in Garden City. He preceded her in death in 1990.

She married Fred Friesen on Sept. 22, 1992, in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 2005.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Ens.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy Dean Ens of Wichita, Alvin Dwight Ens of Olathe, and Howard Friesen of Hammond, Ind.; two daughters, Shirley Wiens of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Laura Fraley of Lemoore, Calif.; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, officiated by Pastor Roy Keller. Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Garden, Garden City.

Memorial funds have been established for Parkside Homes and Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Foundation.
