Selma Pritz
Selma M. Pritz, 97, of Herington, died Dec. 6, 2008, at Medicalodges of Herington.
She was a homemaker.
Born Dec. 6, 1911 in Lost Springs, she was the daughter of William H. and Johanna D. (Kaiser) Meyer.
She taught school for two years at Peabody and one year at Lincolnville.
She married Alfred H. Pritz June 14, 1932, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincolnville. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1982.
She also was preceded by three brothers, Arthur Meyer, Herman Meyer, and Herbert Meyer; and four sisters, her twin sister, Velma Socolofsky, Irma Lamb, Hildred Haefner, and Arlene Snowdall.
Survivors include a daughter, Marlyn and Dale Diepenbrock of Herington; a son, Maurice and Twila Pritz of Lost Springs; two brothers, Ted Meyer of Hope and Wilmer Meyer of Wichita; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincolnville, with Rev. Alan Stahlecker presiding.
Burial will precede the service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lincolnville Cemetery.
Friends may call at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home, Herington, from 2 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday). A prayer service for family and friends is at 5:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established with the church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
