SENIOR CENTER: Center endures week filled with crises
The center endured a week of crises with a nonworking phone for two days, making it hard to know about meal reservations. Then the center was abruptly without a cook one day, and sent frozen meals to the Meals-on-Wheels customers, but did not serve a meal in the center.
The center welcomed Harvest House group on April 12.
Senior Center Day was April 17, with president Sue Clough conducting the meeting.
Jerry Kline arranged new gravel for the center’s parking lot.
Lenora Smith donated an upright freezer to the center.
Patrons of the Senior Center have started a new jigsaw puzzle of more than 1,000 pieces.
The center’s breakfast fundraiser will be 8 a.m. April 27. Biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, coffee and juice will be served. Donations will go toward the center’s expenses.
