Senior Center
As of late, Marion Senior Center has been the site of competitive flower displays, as patrons have been bringing in their best blooms to share.
Lucille Bitner brought in a “grape” iris. Shirley Bowers brought some deep purple iris, and Shirley Moore shared a clematis blossom.
Kathy Goentzel was a volunteer Thursday in the dining room. The center still could use more volunteers.
Dwight Kruse also returned after a long spell receiving meals on wheels.
Lynn and Michon Roberts gave a wedding cake to the center recently.
The Lunch Bunch visited May 2.
Gayla Ratzlaff planned a surprise party for Lanell Hett on May 3, which was Hett’s 35th anniversary of working at the center. County board members, Hett’s daughter, Lindsey, daughter-in-law, Ann, and granddaughter Ava were special guests. Hett provided treats at lunch.
Charlie Goode, Robin Carr, and Sonja Maddox of Lincolnville performed a music program May 3.
