SENIOR CENTER: Menu to change

Senior Center

Marion Senior Center patrons should expect to begin seeing meal items inspired by the fall season, including beef stew, bean soup, and hot beef sandwiches.

Menus are posted weekly in this newspaper and at several area businesses.

Shirley Bowers brought birthday treats Oct. 3. Connie Fisher did the same Oct. 5.

Marion County Park and Lake Superintendent Steve Hudson spoke Oct. 5 about annual events at the lake. He also answered questions about wildlife and invited patrons to take a guided tour.

Harlow Warneke grilled hamburgers Sept. 29. He will grill them once more in October before the center takes a break from outside grilling for a few months.

The annual Kansas Department of Transportation meeting was held here Sept. 29, during which an insurance representative provided information to KDOT employees.

There will be no program Oct. 19 as the center will be setting up for the annual Marion County Senior Citizens meeting.
