Officers were elected during a Sept. 16 business meeting at Marion Senior Center. Officers are president Sue Clough, vice president Rhonda Brenzikofer, secretary Joyce Jackson, and treasurer Norma Kline.
Center volunteers also unloaded commodities. Bill Kaempfe and Gene Winkler helped carry them into the center, while Sue Clough, Vickie Kaempfe, and Barbara Hardin boxed up commodities.
Jody Johnson of the Area Agency on Aging board also performed a yearly evaluation.
Gayla Ratzlaff gave a program on her July hiking trip to the Grand Canyon.
Marion High Singers will perform at an annual Marion County Senior Citizens meeting Oct. 15. Quilter Sandy Heyman, of Burns, will speak about quilting experiences and 17 quilters will be honored. Tickets are $5. Meal tickets are not allowed that day.
Marlene Bernhardt brought cookies to celebrate the birth of her new great-granddaughter.
The Aulne United Methodist Church group attended for their monthly birthday lunch. Birthdays celebrated were for Betty Fruechting and Ty Dean. Jackie Hett also brought a reading to share titles “How We Know We’re Growing Older.”
American Red Cross representative Lindsay Miller will give a presentation Sept. 30.
