SENIOR CENTER: Patrons celebrate Cubs victory

Marion Senior Center patrons celebrated the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series when longtime fan Sue Clough brought ice cream treats Nov. 3.
The Harvest House group ate lunch with patrons on Nov. 4.
Center officials expressed gratitude toward Vickie Kaempfe for the use of multiple Halloween decorations, including a giant spider.
Emergency meals were sent out to home delivery participants. The shelf-stable meals are to be used in case of power outages, and when the center is not able to deliver meals. Emergency meals also are available for patrons who normally eat at the center.
Larry and Thelma Blosser brought treats Nov. 9 to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Scott Akers, a physician at St. Luke Medical Clinic, gave a program Nov. 9.
Patrons will celebrate the birthday of Mickey Mouse by wearing T-shirts and mouse ears.
The center will be closed Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday.
