SENIOR CENTER: Patrons produce scary sounds

Marion Senior Center

Marion Senior Center patrons celebrated Halloween by providing ghost, cat, and witch sounds during a scary story.

Harlow Warneke grilled hamburgers Oct. 30 and will likely not grill outdoors again until spring.

Richard and Marilyn Riemer conducted an AARP safe driving course Nov. 3 and 4.

Patrons celebrated Jerry Nelson’s birthday with cake Nov. 4. His sister, Robin, had arranged for patrons to sign a card prior to the celebration.

Alex Brooks, physical therapist at St. Luke Hospital, gave a presentation on fighting osteoporosis and degenerative posture Nov. 4.

He also offered to have an exercise class at the center once a week. Several have already signed up. Patrons should call (620) 382-2942 if interested in participating.

Shirley Bowers will share her Mickey Mouse collection Nov. 18 for Mickey Mouse’s birthday.
