SENIOR CENTER: Poodle skirts to greet 'Elvis'

Marion Senior Center

Elvis, impersonated by Marc Baker of Wichita, will appear at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the senior center. Baker has been coming every year since he was in high school and is popular with local fans.

Poodle skirts and saddle oxfords are optional attire. Donations for Baker will be accepted. Refreshments will be served. Guests will be invited to take selfies and dance to the music.

The center is starting another year of food and fun. It celebrates birthdays, has daily piano music by Shirley Bowers and Keith Allison, and has almost-daily card games of pitch or hand and foot. A jigsaw puzzle is always available, and a craft corner has candles, yarn, and decorative items for sale.

Joyce Jackson brought treats for her birthday Dec. 28.
