Seniors celebrate Christmas

Marion Senior Center patrons celebrated Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Claus (Al and Gloria Ash) at a party Dec. 21.

The Ashes helped with door prizes.

Vickie Kaempfe and Rhonda Brenzikofer provided punch and snacks.

Sue Clough conducted a business meeting.

Christmas bonuses were distributed to Janet Bryant, Barb Bitner, Ron Wright, and Connie Fisher.

After lunch, Clough led the group in singing Christmas carol accompanied by pianist Keith Allison.

Clough also sang a few songs.

Irmagene Goodman’s grandson paid for everyone’s lunch as a gift to her.

The center welcomed members of the county’s senior center board Dec. 16.

Shirley Bowers, Evelyn Jewett, Clough, Barb and Larry Smith, Mary Hett, Goodman, the Ashes, and Madonna Schafers worked on a newsletter Dec 19.

The senior center will be closed Monday.

Jeremiah Lange, pastor of Marion Presbyterian Church, will speak about his trip to Cuba on Jan. 4.

An Elvis impersonator will perform at 7 p.m. Jan. 7.
