SENIOR CENTER: Seniors complete 2,000-piece puzzle

Marion Senior Center

Breaking News: The 2,000-piece puzzle brought in by Jackie Volbrecht in January was completed Friday. Seniors started the puzzle Feb. 15. It being a depiction of the Last Supper, Clough said they wanted to get it done before Easter. Larry Blosser kept track of his time and spent 25 hours on the puzzle.

The center is looking for a freezer donation.

Two programs were presented on March 14. The first was by Dorothy Deckert of Kansas Life Insurance Agency in Hutchinson. Then, vocalist Gerry Henderson and pianist Keith Allison presented a program of lively music. They included Irish songs in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Amy Kjellin.

Lucille Bitner gave Keith Allison a tie to wear on March 16 that said, “Kiss me, I’m Irish.”

Monday was Senior Center Day. Sue Clough led the business meeting.
