SENIOR CENTER: Seniors show off various talents

Marion Senior Center

Marion Senior Center had its first-ever Christmas talent show Dec. 9 with 13 participants. Vocal soloists included Sue Clough, Madonna Schafers and Connie Fisher.

Keith Allison played two piano selections and accompanied the soloists. Shirly Bowers also provided piano music.

Pam Varenhorst, Joan Meyer, Sue Clough, and Norma Kline all read Christmas selections.

Commodities were boxed up Dec. 9 by Sue Clough, Vickie Kaempfe, and Kathy Beeton. Bill Kaempfe brought the commodities in from the parking lot.

The senior center will offer exercise classes at 11 a.m. Fridays beginning Jan. 8. Instructors will be Alex Brooks and Matt Vermillion from St. Luke Hospital physical therapy department.

The public is welcome to join a carol sing after lunch with Sue Clough and Keith Allison Dec. 23.

The Veteran’s representative was at the center Dec. 8 and will be back February 9 at 11 a.m.
