SENIOR CENTER: Work of art matches jigsaw puzzle

Sue Clough recently brought in a work of art she made — a painting of a pickup truck done on mesh screening. It matches the jigsaw puzzle being worked on at the center.
Lydia and Jim Gates provided the program Dec. 12. Lydia played Christmas songs on the piano with Jim’s assistance. He provided mariachi (rattle) rhythm for one song. Margaret Wilson introduced each selection.
The center will host Marion County Senior Citizens board Friday. Special activities are planned for that day and also at noon Dec. 24.
The center will be closed Christmas Day.
On Dec. 26, Sheila Kelley, news editor at Marion County Record, will speak about women in journalism, a subject she used for her thesis while attending the University of Nebraska.
