Seniors celebrate July Fourth

Senior Center correspondent

Patrons of Marion Senior Center celebrated Independence Day by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, reading “You know you’re an American,” and playing trivia. Shirley Bowers played patriotic songs and Connie Fisher sang.

Many sang and danced to music by Galen Obermeyer and Mike Moran July 9, after a film crew from Kansas Health Foundation visited. Norma Kline guided them and brought produce to give to card players before going to the Marion County Emergency Food Bank.

Lydia Gates and Connie Fisher will hold a musical program after lunch Wednesday.

There are some commodities still available.
