Seniors observe special days
Marion Senior Center
The Marion senior center observed several special days in recent weeks: National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about heart disease, Barbie’s birthday March 9, and the anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts March 12.
Several birthdays were observed as well. Included were the birthdays of Bea Kelsey, Jerry Kline, Dorothy Conyers, Rhonda Brenzikofer and Bunk Ludwig.
Becky Hogue decorated the center for Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day.
Myrta Billings gave a talk about macular degeneration.
The center continues to serve meals in-house with social distancing and masks. Meals also may be picked up or delivered.
Meal reservations are accepted at (620) 382-2942.
