MARION SENIOR CENTER:   Seniors pledge their allegiance

Senior Center correspondent

Marion Senior Center observed Patriot Day on Sept. 11 by beginning the day with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.

Edgard Pots of Belgium sent a message to Joan Meyer. His message included words of remembrance for Sept. 11 and expressed gratitude to American soldiers who fight for freedom.

Sue Clough conducted a Sept. 17 business meeting in which Clough was elected president. Other elected officers were vice president Rhonda Brenzikofer, secretary Joyce Jackson, and treasurer Norma Kline.

Rita Dome, who moved to town recently, gave a program on sewing and clothing alterations. Sharon Simons will give a presentation about dental care on Oct. 1.
