SENIOR CENTER:   Seniors resume puzzle pastime

Marion Senior Center

Before most in-person senior center activities were canceled because of concerns about COVID-19, seniors started a new jigsaw puzzle with more people joining the usual group in putting it together.

Sue Clough brought cookies using a new recipe, substituting peanut butter chips for chocolate ones and cashews for pecans.

Madonna Schafers brought treats for her birthday March 11.

Physician Randolph Whitely visited March 11 and discussed COVID-19 in Kansas.

Merle Ecklund had been scheduled to visit and play his accordion with Berlyn Brockmeier accompanying him on piano.

Marion Community Day members observed World Day of Prayer March 6 at Valley United Methodist Church. Sue Clough was song leader and Lydia Gates was pianist. Pastor Bob Priest talked about his trips to Zimbabwe.
