An identified individual wrote $16,000 in checks between November 2007 and February 2008 on an account that belonged to an estate without the signature or knowledge of a co-executor.

At 3:30 p.m. March 5, a driver attempted to pass a vehicle on U.S. 77 near milemarker 100, Florence, when the driver of the second vehicle sped up to keep the first driver from passing him or her. Oncoming traffic was approaching, so the driver of the first vehicle slowed down and other traffic allowed him into the northbound lane, allowing southbound traffic to pass, averting a collision.
