Offense reports

These offense reports were released Friday by the Marion County sheriff’s office:

Misdemeanor theft, felony theft

A rifle, a push mower, a weed trimmer, and a nail gun, together valued at $1,130, were reported stolen between Feb. 1 and June 8 from Marjorie Hufman’s residence on Goldenrod Road near Hillsboro. Investigator Wilma Mueller reported signs of forced entry to the home.

Amber Caudle of the same address reported theft of a guitar valued at $1,000 between April 1 and June 3, although Mueller’s separate report of that theft was dated April 30.

Misdemeanor theft, criminal trespass

A total of 19 solar-powered lights were reported stolen between June 10 and 12 from two yards on Fourth and Roosevelt streets in Tampa.

Seven lights, valued at $70 total, were reported stolen from Dolores Duggan’s yard, and 12 lights, valued at $40 total, were reported stolen from Rodney Mueller’s yard.

Investigator Mueller reported signs of forced entry to Duggan’s yard.

Aggravated battery, reckless bodily harm with a weapon

A motor vehicle reportedly was used as a weapon against Mary Girard, 71, of Hesston at an undisclosed time June 14 in the 200 block of North Church Street in Goessel.

Deputy Derek Fetrow took the report June 16 from her son, Daven Girard, 45, of 101 E. Main St., Goessel. The sheriff’s department released no additional information.

Driving with suspended license, possession of hallucinogen

A person whose name was not released, but who from jail records appears to have been Candace Ridge, 29, of Wichita, was arrested at 4:10 a.m. June 16 east of Peabody on U.S. 50.

Sgt. Larry Starkey reported seizing $110 and 1¾ ounces of marijuana. Starkey’s report alleged that drugs or narcotics were being bought, sold, possessed, and transported.

No additional information was released.
