Shopping for unique gifts and goods

Staff writer

Donna Kaiser was one of 16 home-based business owners showing off their wares at Saturday’s Park it and Market event in Marion.

Customers streamed into her booth to view her children’s towels, bibs, burp cloths, infant headbands, quilted table runners, crocheted cotton dishcloths, dish scrubbies and body scrubbies, and more.

Kaiser, who lives at the County Park and Lake, started making the items years ago, but focused more on her projects as she was recovering from surgery and limited in what she could do during that time. Kaiser said she came for the opportunity to share her creations with customers at a local event.

Other vendors displayed lapidary jewelry, kitchen and home décor goods, home fragrance products, books, and an assortment of other goods.

Lunch was sold by OK Bread Company.
