Sisters are coffee entrepreneurs

Staff writer

Two enterprising Goessel girls brought their coffee trailer to this weekend’s Chingawassa Days and brewed up warm and iced beverages for customers who flocked to be served.

Sage and Juliette Coffee Co. is named for the middle names of sisters Lukabella Sage Wiebe, a business major at Butler Community College, and Lacianna Juliette Wiebe, a homeschooled student about to begin her senior year of high school.

Lukabella is learning from experience as she works toward her ultimate plan of getting a bachelor’s degree in business.

They have been in business just more than a year, selling coffee from a small white trailer with their company’s logo on its sides.

“It was just something my sister and I both really loved,” Lukabella said. “We dreamed about opening a coffee shop. One day we were at a festival and saw a lot of lemonade stands and food trucks, and we thought, ‘We can do this.’”

The pair talked to an aunt and uncle who live in Texas and operate a food truck. The aunt and uncle encouraged them to go for it.

Coffee isn’t the only beverage the Wiebe girls serve.

Their specialty menu includes The Classic, with brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon; Honey Bee, with honey and cinnamon; White Dirty Chai, with white mocha, chai, and espresso; Honey Lander Sage, with house-made syrups; Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, with brown sugar and cinnamon; and Cold Brew, with house-made syrups.

The espresso menu includes Latte, Mocha, Cappuccino, Frappuccino, and Americano. The tea menu includes hot tea with English breakfast, chai, and peppermint, and cold brew tea of the day.

Fruit smoothies include Tropical Twist with pineapple, mango, and strawberry juice, and Sunshine Smoothie with pineapple, mango, peach, coconut, and orange juice.

Spring menu items include Lavender Haze, a white mocha lavender latte with lavender sweet cream; London Fog, an Earl Gray tea latte sweetened with vanilla and lavender; and Berry Breeze, a mixed berry lemonade.
