Jordan Smith and C.J. Thompson finished in the top 10 Thursday at Centre’s first cross-country meet of the season Thursday at Abilene. Smith, a seventh-grade girl, had a second-place finish of 6 minutes and 5 seconds. C.J. Thompson, an eighth grader, finished eighth in his class at 5:44.
