St. Luke gets national honor

St. Luke Hospital in Marion has been named to a list of the nation’s top 20 “best practice” hospitals as announced by the National Rural Health Association.

Hospital performance was rated based on rural-relevant process of care measures.

Winners were determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, an advisory and analytics services firm in the health care industry.

St. Luke is one of three Kansas hospitals to make the list. The others are Kingman Community Hospital and Grisel Memorial Hospital in Ransom.

“This recognition takes everyone on the team performing at a high level,” chief executive officer Jeremy Ensey said. “Being a top-quality performer is an indicator to our patients and community about the effort we put forth to deliver the best care possible right here in Marion.”
