Two Marion County students signed last week to attend college on sports-related scholarships.

Goessel senior Lyna Lehrman signed to play basketball at Bethany College, where she pursues a career in elementary education.

She averaged 8.0 points per game and scored 37 against Stafford.

Marion senior Emma Soyez, daughter of Sheriff Jeff Soyez and Becky Peterson, signed on a cheer and academic scholarship with Tabor College.

The name of Emma's mother was misreported in some earlier editions, which also contained an incorrect photo.
