Tabor named as NAIA baseball host

Tabor College has been selected as host for NAIA baseball tournament opening round games May 15-18 at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson.

Nine colleges across the country are selected as hosts for the first step in national post-season play. It is the fourth time in six years Tabor has been selected.

The champion of five-team double-elimination tournament will advance to the NAIA Baseball World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.

The Bluejays finished the regular season ranked 13th nationally, earning a spot in the opening round. 

“Opening round is one of the things our guys work toward throughout the season,” Tabor head coach Mark Standiford said. “We’re excited to compete with new teams and talent during the week.”
