Taking a punch

To the editor:

I’ve just read, “Homeowner’s son takes a punch at inspector’s punch list.” Here we learn that the city inspector has been absent without explanation from two council meetings at which the homeowner’s son had to appear.

In spite of the council’s willingness to grant an extension to a homeowner under difficult circumstances, including terrible winter weather, the officious inspector seems to be unaccountable to either citizen or council, putting them both in untenable positions.

Is this list complete? If not, who knows when the rest will be revealed? The city is already “punching down.” Are they intent on also scoring a knock-out?
