Tampa PRIDE met Feb. 12 and scheduled community game nights on March 3 and April 7.

Tentative plans were made to have a monthly activity at the park during warmer weather. PRIDE will sell quasquicentennial shirts and cups at Trail Stop. The group also talked about landscaping at the park, projects at the senior center, and ball tournaments.

Tom and Dee Duggan went to Older Kansans Day on Feb. 13 at the Kansas Statehouse. Secretary of Aging Sean Sullivan spoke to the group about legislative changes that will affect senior citizens. They also spent some time sitting in on the Kansas House of Representatives session.

Adeline Bernhardt accompanied Joyce Medley on Feb. 13 to Ramona for the Ash Wednesday church service.

Leo and Sue Yanda, Gary and Carole Spohn, and Georgia Spohn met Steve and Sheri Spohn for dinner Feb. 13 in Abilene. The dinner was in celebration of Sheri Spohn’s birthday Feb. 14.

Lucille Kerbs met Janet Meisinger for dinner Feb. 12 in Hillsboro as an early celebration of Kerbs’ 80th birthday.

Sunflower Senior Citizens met Feb. 12 at the senior center with Raymond and Janet Bielefeld as hosts. Members had a sack lunch. Others present were Phyllis Mueller, Gary and Carole Spohn, Adeline Bernhardt, Connie McMahan, Barbara Svoboda, Edna Backhus, Leo and Sue Yanda, Tom and Dee Duggan, Kathy Kroupa, Jane Vajnar, Georgia Spohn, Betty Mueller, Leona Kleiber, Tillie Hein, and Kathy Davis.

Paul and Edna Backhus had Bev and Tom Reid of Marion, Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, and Brad Backhus as dinner guests Feb. 12.

Linda Ihde, Mary Clemmer, Connie McMahan, and Adeline Bernhardt attended Ramona’s Fun Night Feb. 10.

Lucille Kerbs visited her daughter, Connie Thompson, Feb. 9 in Abilene for dinner.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Lori Moldenhauer attended Centre High School’s homecoming basketball game Feb. 8, as did many others from Tampa. They met Nikki Stenzel of Manhattan and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu at the game and watched Anna Weber take her place as part of the homecoming court.
