Tennis team finds limited success

The Hillsboro girls’ tennis team traveled Thursday to Lindsborg for the Smoky Valley Invitational.
Brooklyn Thiessen won the only match for the Trojans — an 8-4 singles result. Coach Kyla Isaac said returners and rookies had made strides early this season.
“I am particularly impressed by our three freshmen, who have been able to win several matches each despite having little experience before the start of the season,” she said.
Hillsboro’s next girls’ tennis match will be Monday at Lyons.
