In his second season with the Emporia State University football team, Connor Thierolf, son of Grant and Deanna Thierolf of Marion, was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher in the previous two semesters at the school.

Thierolf was one of 18 Emporia State football players to receive an all-academic distinction.
