The weather was nearly perfect and the shoppers enthusiastic as thousands of people descended on Marion’s Central Park Saturday for the annual Art in the Park & Craft Show.

Even though there weren’t as many vendors as in previous years, shoppers appeared to purchase home and outdoor décor and personal items throughout the day.

Local businesses reported good sales with vendors and visitors purchasing fuel, food, and other items.

Ten $20 gift certificates were given to those

who registered. The winners were: Bonnie Rose of Ulysses; Cristi Soyez, Cedar Point; Jeff Methvin, Peabody; Connie Rudkin, Belle Plaine; Susan Gatz, Newton; Mary Blankinship, Wichita; and Kurt Spachek, Bill Vinduska, Garry Klose, and Bonnie Schmidt, all of Marion.
