Seniors who need help figuring out their best prescription plan can get help from are pharmacies and the department on aging.

Plans can be changed between Oct. 15 and Dec. 7.

Gayla Ratzlaff, director of the county department on aging, said comparisons won’t be performed in each community this year.

“We have a form to fill out and send back to us, or you can pick up one at the Hillsboro or Peabody Senior Center,” Ratzlaff said.

The aging department will perform a comparison and call to arrange an in-person or phone discussion of results.

Lanning Pharmacy in Marion will help customers with comparisons.

Hillsboro Hometown Pharmacy expects to start providing comparisons Oct. 20. Patients are asked to call the pharmacy, which will run the comparison and contact their patients for a phone chat, or patients can come to the pharmacy to pick up the results.

CK Pharmacy in Peabody is asking patients to call or email the store to request a review. If they are unable to call or email, patients can come to the pharmacy in person for a review.
