Trojans finish 11th

Hillsboro’s wrestling team placed 11th out of 13 schools Friday at the 2023 Railer Round Robin tournament in Ellis.
Jaxon Chrislip and Sutton Redger led the team 3rd place finishes in their weight classes.
“We took a very young and inexperienced group on Friday with only one senior and two juniors in the line-up, joined by five sophomores and five freshmen,” coach Scott O’Hare said. “I am proud of how the wrestlers competed overall.
“However, we definitely have some work to do in order to compete at levels that we expect to compete at.”
Marion
The Warriors did not participate as originally scheduled in a Wellington tournament over the weekend.
“We decided it was better for the team to stay home from this one,” coach Tyler McMichael said.
Marion and Hillsboro will be hosts for Marion County Duals this Friday.
Half the teams will start in Marion. The other half will start in Hillsboro.
Bracket duels will be after dinner time at each location depending on how each team does in the pool matches.
