Twins win sports scholarships
Marion twins Taylor and Paige May have turned another double play.
After winning $1,000 health professions scholarships from St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary earlier this month, the twins each won an additional $1,000 scholarship at a National Sports Clinic fast-pitch softball tournament in Overland Park.
The girls play for G2 Heat Fast-Pitch Academy, a student-athlete training center in Newton.
They graduated from Marion High School in May. Taylor plans to attend Emporia State University, and Paige plans to attend Kansas State University.
