Two more candidates have filed for Marion City Council positions.
Chris Meierhoff and former councilman Jerry Kline have filed for two council seats that will be vacant in April.
Councilman Steven L. Smith previously filed for the mayor position.
The positions currently held by Stacey Collett and Gene Winkler are set to end as is the mayor’s position held by Mary Olson.
The deadline to file for a council or mayor position is noon Tuesday. Candidates must file for office with Marion City Clerk.
The only other city in the county that will have an election in April is Hillsboro. There are two council seats that will be up for election, currently held by Shelby Dirks and Byron McCarty. McCarty has filed for re-election.
The city election will be April 6.
