US-56 opens, K-150 closed

US-56 between US-77 and Remington Rd. reopened to traffic today (Sept. 2).

Now that the temporary K-256 detour is gone, Marion’s Main St. should see a marked decline in traffic.

K-150 has been closed at US-56/77/K-150 junction and will remain so until Dec. 21.

Drivers who would have traveled east on K-150 will be detoured south from the junction on US-77 to Florence, where they can continue east on US-50.

K-150 also is closed at its intersection with US-50 south of Elmdale. Westbound drivers will have to continue on US-50 to Florence, then north on US-77 to the US-56/77/K-150 junction.
