Vera Lucas

Vera A. Lucas, 89, of Derby, died Feb. 12.

Born and raised on a farm west of Marion, her parents were Roy and Ruby Penland of Marion.

Her husband, Kenneth, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Don, of Wichita; three daughters, Carol Coble of Winfield, and Connie Bass and Cheryl Lucas of Wichita; a brother, Harry Penland of Olathe; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 17 at First Christian Powerhouse, Derby.

A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S Market St, Wichita KS 67202.
