Virlee M. (Lorance) Bevan, 92, died Aug. 12 in Coffeyville. She was a retired McClure Commission C. Wichita Stockyard employee.

She was born July 7, 1919, to Mich and John F. Lorance. Her husband, Fred, her parents, and two brothers, Vere and Dorrell Lorance, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, Bithel Lorance of Yates Center; niece Mary Davidson and nephew John Lorance, both of Wichita.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita, with visitation prior to the service. Burial took place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Peabody Christian Church, American Cancer Society, or American Diabetes Association.
