Hillsboro, Goessel keep winning

Hillsboro
Hillsboro swept the host Sedgwick Cardinals in three sets Thursday and was 13-4 heading into its first home matches Tuesday against 14-3 Halstead and 5-12 Nickerson.
The Trojans will go back on the road Saturday for a tournament at Douglass Tournament and then travel to Pratt on Tuesday.
Goessel
The Bluebirds travelled outside of the Wheat State League and defeated two teams rather easily.
Goessel beat Lyons 25-20, 25-17, and then defeated Douglass 25-16, 25-18.
Goessel will return to league action at Herington against the Railers and Rural Vista. Goessel is now 8-5 overall and 2-1 in the Wheat State League.
Marion
The Warriors placed fifth Saturday at their annual Spike Fest.
Marion lost in two sets to Halstead and lost in three sets to Central Christian Academy.
Their Backs against a wall, the Warriors beat Eureka in three sets. In the fifth-place game, Marion swept Lyons in two sets.
Marion (7-10) will be on the road Tuesday against Wichita Classical (5-12-1).
Centre
The Cougars played against five schools Saturday in a tournament at Dexter and sneaked away with a single set victory.
Centre (2-9-2) will travel Tuesday to county rival Peabody-Burns (2-14-3).

The Warriors will be hosts Tuesday to county rival Centre.
