Waner hired as library aide

Longtime nurse will step down from her position

Marion-Florence USD 408 created a new position at the middle and high school levels, hiring district school nurse Janice Waner as library aide.

Waner had been the nurse at USD 408 for nine years.

Board of education president Chris Sprowls said Waner did a great job as school nurse.

“She will be hard to replace,” he said.

Waner, whose contract and start date are still being negotiated, said it was time to move on.

“Everyone has been so supportive and I love what I am doing,” she said. “It’s just an opportunity to touch kids in a different way.”
