WEDDINGS: Wise, Vinduska exchange vows

Keri Wise and Joseph Vinduska were married May 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood. The Rev. Charles Mazouch officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Andy and Joanie Wise and John and Marlene Clayton of Ellinwood, and Joe and Tish Vinduska of Lincolnville.

Grandparents are Roy and Rosemary Robl and Jack and Sondra Wise, Ellinwood; Magdalen Dvorak and Millicent Vinduska, Pilsen; and Joe and MaryAnn Clayton, Sterling.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory gown of French taffeta. Lace-trimmed pleating fell from an empire waist into a softly draped and tucked skirt. The back was fitted with lace-up ties and had a billowing, semi-cathedral train.

Maid of honor was Jill Wahlmeier, Lawrence. Bridesmaids were Dendra Kaiser of Great Bend and Leslie Wise of Kansas City, both sisters of the bride, and Christina Lovin of Lawrence. They wore strapless, chocolate-brown floor-length dresses similar to the bride’s.

Best man was Michael Vinduska, Lawrence, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Keenan Ganz, Sioux City, Iowa; Todd Ammeter, Claflin; and Andrew Sieker, Ellinwood. They wore brown tuxedoes with taupe vests and ties.

Ushers were Brett Wahlgren and Josh Buford, Kansas City; Cole Dishman, Springfield, Mo.; and Preston Edwards, Chesterfield, Mo. Reception attendants were Maggie Vinduska, Tayla Sanders, Amy Fryberger, and Emily Bohn.

Music was provided by Leon Sobba, organist, and Jane Stein, pianist. Maggie Vinduska, sister of the groom, was soloist.

The bride, a graduate of the University of Kansas, is a lending assistant at People’s Banking Unusual, Lawrence. The groom, a graduate of Baker University, is a territory representative for Amarr, Lawrence, where the couple resides.
