Who says football isn’t for girls?

Hillsboro was host for powderpuff football Saturday with three teams; freshmen, juniors, and seniors (plus one sophomore).

The seniors were coached by Jesiah Gooch but lost both of their games. The juniors came out on top over the freshmen.

It was the second year in a row for powderpuff football at Hillsboro High School.

The event is put on largely by students.

The first time they tried it was in 2019. COVID the following year killed momentum to keep it going year after year. But the kids have recently brought it back, four years removed from 2020.
