Marion Senior Center
Lately patrons have been dining and playing wild games of pitch in the air-conditioned comfort of Marion Senior Center.
The senior center hosted the county Senior Citizens Board June 18 during which Karen Mayse, from the Area Agency on Aging, gave a report.
Volunteer Robin Nelson added a little more color to the senior center when he brought in day lilies.
Mary Hett celebrated a recent birthday by bringing treats to the center.
Rhonda Brenzikofer brought seven women from Florence and Burns who are part of a club to eat with patrons June 23.
Sue Clough drove all night to a family reunion in Indiana on June 24. She phoned the center upon arrival.
Iralee Barnard of Hope gave a presentation about Kansas native grasses June 24.
Dr. Tim McVay, new physician at St. Luke Hospital, will speak July 8 at the center.
