Woman hurt seriously in US-50 wreck

A Marion woman turning was seriously injured Friday when she turned into the path of an oncoming pickup on US-50 at Northeast Lake Rd. / Indigo Rd. extended in Harvey County.
According to a Highway Patrol report, Madison Jo Vinduska, 29, Marion, was driving a 2011 Ford Expedition east on US-50 when she turned left into the path of an oncoming 2015 Dodge Ram 1500.
The Dodge, driven by Kanitra Crump, 38, Wichita, struck the front right corner of the Ford, pushing it onto the north shoulder.
The Dodge spun and came to rest in the westbound lane.
Vinduska was taken to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, in serious condition. Crump was taken to Newton Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.
Miller Vinduska, 3, riding in the Ford, also was taken to Newton Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. Miller was traveling in a child safety seat and is now in the care of his grandparents.
The crash report said Madison Vinduska was not wearing a seat belt. Crump was wearing her seat belt.
Madison Vinduska is the wife of Mark Vinduska, daughter-in-law of Duane and Angela McCarty, and daughter of John and Robin Dick.
The family is asking for prayers for her recovery.
