Officers for Marion County Economic Development Council for 1993 are Julie Eberhard, chairman; Carol Wiebe, vice chairman; and Peggy Blackman, secretary-treasurer.
Mr. and Mrs. Alden Slusser spent the weekend in Kansas City celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary at a hotel overlooking the Plaza. They were guests of their daughter, Pam, and her husband, Harry Kassner, of Wichita.
The birthdays of Lindsey Richmond and Sarah Crofoot were celebrated Sunday at the home of Janice and Jeff Richmond and Jeffrey. Others present for the occasion were Jerry and Loreen Hett, Elliot and Isaac, Jim and Joni Crofoot and Andy, and Harold and Mary Ann Wiens.
Members of the Marion High School girls' basketball team are Jami Groening, Mattie Christiansen, Rachel Janzen, Jenny Groening, Rachel Cartwright, Jodi Thomas, Jodi Smith, Beki Zook, Kim Kreutziger, Kay Summervill, Jodi Bernhardt, Mandy Inlow, Amanda Janzen, Katrina Hancock, Julie Weber, and Tammy Johnson.
Marion Police Chief Don Keazer has been presented with the Army Achievement Medal. The medal is the third achievement medal for Keazer, who is a first sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard.
