Steve Kill of Marion has earned membership in the Farm Bureau Insurance 1992 One and One-Half Million Dollar Club. This makes him one of the firm's top insurance producers. Membership in the club is generally regarded throughout the insurance industry as a mark of excellence.

John Stika of Lincolnville was named January Student of the Month for the College of Agriculture at Kansas State University. A senior in animal science and industry, he is the son of Eugene Stika and Elaine Stika.

Michel Soyez has been selected by the school faculty as Marion High School's Student of the Month. A senior, he is the son of Robert and Brenda Soyez of Marion.

Dan Holub represents Marion County and 10 other counties on the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission.

Jennifer Hanson was crowned Marion High School Queen of Courts Friday during half-time ceremonies in Marion Gym. Jason May was elected king.

Harms Plainview Ranch of Lincolnville has joined the American Angus Association.

A Marion/Florence REC volleyball team earned first place in a seven-team round-robin tournament Saturday in Cedar Point. Team members are Tammy Jirak, Pam Bowers, Jandee Moore, Mike Regnier, Dennis Maggard, and Bill Higgins.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen J. Funk of Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary March 7 at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
