Atmos Energy Corporation of Dallas has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Greeley Gas Co. of Denver, Colo. by means of a merger. Among the towns serviced by Greeley in Kansas are Marion, Hillsboro, Peabody, Florence, Cottonwood Falls, Herington, and Eureka.
Two individuals associated with Marion County Rural Water District No. 1 received statewide recognition during the annual convention of the Kansas Rural Water Association. David Mueller of Tampa was elected to the organization's board of directors and Autumn Chisholm was presented with the "Bookkeeper of the Year" award.
Ronald and Sue Goodwin of Burns announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sara, to Mark Meisinger, son of Richard and Janet Meisinger of Marion. The couple will be married June 26 in Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro.
