"Pillow Talk," a comedy in three acts, will be presented Friday evening by the drama students at Marion High School. The play centers around a young New York interior decorator, played by senior Lesley Sieger, and a successful song writer/playboy portrayed by Micah Hanson. Others in the cast are Thurston Thies, Kayla Jensen, Marty Teufel, Kristine Bateman, Matt Holub, Brendan Kraus, Sarah Blount, Jenny Hanson, Ashley Loomis, Amanda Janzen, Traci Darrow, Kris Groening, Eileen Hett, Kevin Marler, Monica Parscal, Mariah Jantz, Jodi Smith, Elly Barta-Moran, Jodi Thomas, Charity King, Mark Engler, Katrina Hancock, and several extras. Hannah Bennett is the student director.

Mike Regnier won a brand-spanking new 1993 GMC pickup Saturday at Wichita. Those attending an automotive open house at the Big Western Warehouse were given registration tickets, each worth a chance to win the pickup. Over 500 people attended the open house.

Dr. and Mrs. E.K. Schroeder celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 10 at a family dinner at the Old Mill restaurant in Newton.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Holdeman hosted a cook-out Saturday evening to celebrate the birthdays of Valerie Waner, Carol Smith, and Kathy Crider.

The 97th annual Florence Memorial High School alumni banquet will be held May 29 in the Florence gymnasium.
