Three unrelated events will make Central Park in Marion a busy place Saturday. The annual Art in the Park starts at 9 a.m. First District Rep. Pat Roberts will meet the public at 5 p.m. in another section of the park. There will be a hog roast from 6-8 p.m. And the steel percussion orchestra "Pandora's Box" will perform at 8 p.m. on Central Park Stage.
Clover Cliff Ranch in Chase County has been included on the tour agenda of the Flint Hills Cowboy Jubilee scheduled Oct. 4.
Wedding anniversaries to be celebrated in the next few days include the 50th anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. John Reznicek Sr., Lost Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cheever, and Darlene and Alfred Sondergard, Ramona, and the 40th anniversary of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs of Tampa.
A reunion of patrons of the former Morning Star School will be held Sept. 20 at the Marion City Building.
"Beary Special Babies" born at St. Luke Hospital during August include Bridgette Victoria Lundy, Levi Allan Yoho, Katie Lyn Remy, Sam J. Spence, Sarah Anne Boyer, Shelly Lynn Harris, Shayna Lenay Britton, and Tyler Jacob Klenda.
The 1992 Marion High School cheerleading squad is made up of Shannon Tajchman, Jenny Groening, Amanda May, Angela Markley, Amy Christensen, captain Tammy Johnson, and Renee Goodin. Becky Summerville is cheerleader sponsor.
