The city of Marion will offer a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those causing vandalism in Central Park. Damage to gas lights, basketball goals, and other items may seem inconsequential, but it adds up.

Marion Kiwanis Club welcomed its first woman member Monday, when the board of directors voted unanimously to accept Feebie Holdeman as a member.

The "Bearly Special Babies" born at St. Luke Hospital during the month of August include Shelbi Rae Otte, Justin Michael Loomis, Connor David Thierolf, Danielle Renee Spohn, Blake Ashton Crawford, Colleen Joy Davis, and Jordan Taylor Versch.

The Marion High School cross country team for 1993 includes Many Inlow, Katie Barta-Moran, Jessica Ash, Kay Summervill, James Grady, Joe Box, Josh Wildin, Jodi Bernhardt, Kim Kreutziger, Pam Kruse, Christina Cooper, Josh Inlow, Brad Druse, Elly Barta-Moran, Tony Gilbert, Jason Goodin, Nathan Warren, Nick Voelker, Brian Wunderlick, and Austin Gilbert.

Randy Collett, telecommunications manager at Central Missouri State University, has assumed the position of executive vice president of the Association of College and University Telecommunications Administrators. After serving as executive vice president in 1993-1994, he will accede to the presidency in 1994-1995.

Any person who has information about the flag thief, or thieves, who has been stealing flags in Marion, should report it to the sheriff's office.
