A Chingawassa Railroad car was moved Monday from its location on North Cedar Street in Marion. The old car, used as a storage shed during the many years following its service on the excursion railroad, was built to transport visitors from the Elgin Hotel on North Third Street to the site of Chingawassa Springs, northeast of Marion. Volunteers hope to restore the car and put it on display.
Chat and Dine volunteers have been busy making noodles in preparation for the annual arts and crafts festival to be held Saturday at Marion County Lake hall. Lunch will feature soup made with homemade noodles. Organizers said they used 10 dozen eggs and 45 pounds of flour to make the noodles.

Marion High School cross country team members are Keith Goentzel, Tyrell Becker, Josh Tajchman, Dusty Sharp, Joey Smallwood, Tyson Grimmett, Heath Garcia, David Gore and Jack Branson. The team brought a runner-up trophy to Marion Saturday from the state meet in Wamego, the best performance by a MHS boys' cross country team.
